Today was basically my trying not to fall asleep all day and still attempt to look acceptable. I stayed up quite late last night going through emails and sewing a jacket toile due tomorrow at uni (cue the panic face) and having to get up at 6:30 to get ready for work never helps (cue the first double espresso of the day...). Work has been stressful and rather draining, as my uni schedule paired with shifts seems to leave me so little time to breathe in between. I feel like i'm juggling it reasonably well at the moment, i think wait until panel assessment gets closer and everything is due at once and all of a sudden work wants me to do four shifts a week, then I ASSURE YOU, you'll get some entertainment watching me run around rapidly losing my mind :P That being said, one of the perks of living out in the suburbs is the train ride in, during which i never have enough energy to do homework, but can read and listen to music (and on my really studious days, get through a couple of DuoLingo/Rosetta Stone Lessons). Today was reading Smoke by Ivan Turgenev and listening to Rinaldo (I attached a link of my favourite film rendition of the piece I was listening to because I realised you guys didn't already think me dorky enough <3)

Work was from 10-6 and involved lots of customers, lots of sign language to Chinese clients who spoke little-to-no-English and two more double espressos. I really like my job but I speak virtually no Chinese, and the words I do know make the clients burst out laughing when I utter them, my pronounciation must be just comical. Perseverance

Finished the day and came home for dinner and a drink. About to head back into the city for a date night at RU-CO at the Grand Hyatt, which will hopefully be the ideal antidote to an exhausting day. Would an Espresso Martini be pushing me to Toxic Caffeine Levels. Might be a night for a strong scotch instead...
