Botton: Aquila Suede Tasseled, Low-Heeled Slippers

Okay to be perfectly blunt I was exhausted from work today and did a shot or two before beginning this particular piece :P

These are my two newest purchases and to be frank i'm completely enamoured with the both of them. I'm aware that they have quite a few similarities, namely tassels and general style, but they're my thing and you'll just have to let it go. To be honest when looking at the Westwood one on in the mirror it makes me think of a young Louis XIV, redefining decadence and basically stutting his stuff at the height of fantastical luxury. Although patent leather existed at the time it wasn't really taking off in mens footwear, although the golden tassels allow me room to dream.

As for the Aquila Suede's, I like that they're slightly (and i mean only ever so slightly..) more discreet and can be paired with so much without being overbearing. They're the perfect antidote to the Westwood so to speak. The only thing i've immediately noticed is that i'll have to find an amazing suede protect because the first hour id worn them they immediately looked signifantly more tattered. Shit happens i suppose, it's just all the more tragic when it happens to Italian crafted shoe-pornstars :P
